CHARLES DICKENS
7 Feb 1812 - 9 Jun 1870


English novelist famous for popularizing the serialized novel (one released in regular installments to periodicals), and for developing some of the best-known characters in literature.

Among Dicken's more famous works are Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, David Copperfield, and Great Expectations. Many of these novels deal with the injustice often suffered by the working class (especially children).
