MARCEL PROUST
10 Jul 1871 - 18 Nov 1922


French intellectual, novelist, and critic, best known for his monumental fictional work In Search of Lost Time (À la recherche du temps perdu).

Proust's work was known in English as A Remembrance of Things Past until recently. It was published in seven volumes between 1913 and 1927.
