LITERARY GENIUS
Most people would not consider music literature, and in a strict sense, this is true. Music is not literature; however, it is capable of speaking to us on a level untouchable by words. What follows is an étude, or musical study, written by Chopin. He wrote 24 études—one for each major and minor key—but only a few of them are well known, including the following Chanson de l’adieu, or “Song of Farewell.”
